In several of these races, locally speaking, many candidates have been unopposed and as such we at the Matagorda County Republican Party try to focus our efforts on the highly contested races, but EVERY race is important, and each candidate needs to be supported.
However, we want to emphasis the importance of educated voting and to highly encourage voting all the way down the ballot in primary and general elections, not just for the most publicized or highly contested races which catch your eye in the media.
